FAQ’s

  • Starting therapy is a big step, and I’m so glad you’re considering it! To get started, feel free to reach out to me by phone, email, or through the contact form on my website. I offer complementary consultation calls so we can connect and see if we’re a good fit for each other. These calls can be done on phone or video, whichever your preference.

During this brief call, we’ll chat about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to achieve, and any questions you might have about my approach or session fees. It’s a great chance for you to get a feel for my style and for us to explore how I can best support you on your journey.

I’m here to help, and I look forward to talking with you soon!

  • Therapy is a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. The process can vary depending on your goals, but generally, we’ll work together to identify challenges and develop strategies for addressing them. I use an integrative approach, meaning I’ll tailor my techniques and methods to best fit your needs.

Sessions typically last 50-60 minutes, and we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Sessions are held virtually via Zoom. A link will be provided to you prior to our session.

  • Therapy is a personal decision, but it’s often a helpful step if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with emotional or psychological challenges. If you're facing issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles, therapy can provide support, tools, and a safe space to process and heal. If you’re unsure, we can discuss your concerns in an initial consultation to help you decide if therapy feels like a good fit.

  • I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions.

  • After our initial consultation call, we will schedule our first session together.

In our first session together, we’ll take the time to get to know each other better and explore what brings you to therapy. This is an opportunity to talk about your goals, current challenges, and any concerns you might have. We’ll also discuss your history and what you hope to achieve moving forward.

This session is all about starting to build a safe, trusting space where you can feel comfortable and supported.

There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—just come as you are, and we’ll begin from there. You’re not alone in this process, and I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.

  • In an effort to make mental health care more accessible, I offer a variety of payment options, including out-of-pocket (OOP), out-of-network (OON), insurance, and sliding scale. I have limited availability for Medicaid, insurance, and sliding scale clients, so please reach out, I’d be happy to help find a solution that works for you.

Please note, I only accept clients located in New York and Vermont. For my Vermont clients, I’m unfortunately unable to accept insurance at this time.

For my OON clients; I work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on OON therapy sessions. If you have OON benefits,  Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year.

You can check your OON Benefits using this link :https://mentaya.com/checkbenefits/7EZSbAlu094sAkReCsMN

Please note, Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation. Please reach out with any questions, I am happy to work with you to keep therapy affordable.

  • My fees are designed to ensure that I can provide quality care while maintaining a manageable caseload. Many therapists who only accept insurance are required to see 25-35 clients a week due to the lower rates insurance companies pay. This can impact the quality of care, which is why I keep my caseload smaller. By doing so, I’m able to offer focused, personalized therapy and give you the best support possible.

When you pay for therapy, you’re not just covering the time we spend in session. My fees also help support my ongoing professional development, including training, research, and treatment planning. I regularly invest in resources, clinical consultation, and supervision to ensure I’m continuously improving and equipped to meet your unique needs. Additionally, like any small business, I have overhead costs that allow me to maintain a secure online platform, ensuring confidentiality, and the administrative work that goes into scheduling, client communication, and more.
